1: One who goes with the flow of life. This type of individual is usually fully comfortable with themselves. They accept everything for what they are and go on with their day. Usually very positive. Free spirited people do whatever makes them happy, are content, & keep their cool better than most. Most of these people see things differently.

  * e.g.,  ... Someone: Never thought of it that way, he's a bit different.

1: Someone who isn't weighed down by the troubles of everyday life, is always themselves regardless of the situation and lives life to the full. Not restricted by other people's opinions. Note: free-spirited should be used in a positive context.

  * e.g.,  ... A girl who still smiles when things aren't going too well, taking a positive outlook on life and trying to make the most of it - her spirit isnt damped by little things in life, she's free spirited.

1: One who is not restrained, as by convention or obligation; a nonconformist.

  * e.g.,  ... I consider myself a free spirit

1: Someone who is compassionate, can be very energetic, is independent, and/or is very passionate about their ideas not caring if others disapprove.

  * e.g.,  ... Man! That girl sure is free spirited. No one can stop her when she gets excited about something! I wish I were a free spirit like her. She's a good leader, and she understands people. He definitely was a free-spirited boy... one could say he was stubborn. He wouldn't listen once he had an idea bouncing around in his head.

1: A Free Spirit is a person, animal, or object that is "free" from all wordly concerns and can act of his own choosing. Free Spirits are relaxed, cultivated, and free.

  * e.g.,  ... John: "Jeff, stop licking the car window."

1: A person who's bound only by his will power and desire.

  * e.g.,  ... To truly become a free-spirit is to loose the fear of death...

1: I get my back blown out without a care in the world or about the consequences.

  * e.g.,  ... I am a free spirit!

1: when one acts all wild and carefree.

  * e.g.,  ... She ran around as a free spirit and didn't care if anyone saw her.

1: A term coined by cops during an investigative documentary to politely describe a woman's behavior when they really mean she is or was a slut.

  * e.g.,  ... The police described Abigail as a free spirit who frequented bars. 

 [ "Free spirit" ]

1: "Free • Spirit" (n) A person not attached to social norms A very blissful and compassionate person who can be oftentimes unpredictable. A derogatory term for a person who prefers a lascivious lifestyle, most often sexually blissful, and unpredictive obnoxious behavior without the consequences for any bad decisions; see "irresponsible".

  * e.g.,  ... Friend 1: "My ex girlfriend said she is a free spirit." Friend 2:"I am a free spirit is a quick and easy way of saying that she wants to do what she wants, when she wants, with whom she wants, to include sex, get drunk, and live her life regardless if it's morally hurtful or offensive to you." Friend 1: "But she told me that she didn't have much experience...?" Friend 2: "Dude, while you were at work, she blew like 3 dudes in the back of the 7-1"
